This document governs the Terms and Conditions of Contracting applicable to this website, www.iberialanguageacademy.com, for the contracting of the services offered. In addition to these Terms and Conditions, users are advised to review the Legal Notice, Cookie Policy, and Privacy Policy before accessing, browsing, and/or using this website.
For the purposes of these Terms, the activity carried out by IBERIA LANGUAGE ACADEMY, S.L. is:
Language teaching and teacher training.
By using this website and contracting any of our services, the user agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Contracting. If the user does not agree with all of the above, they should not access, browse, or use this website.
Users are also informed that these Terms and Conditions may be modified. Users are responsible for reviewing them each time they access, browse, and/or usewww.iberialanguageacademy.com, as the applicable Terms will be those in force at the time the services are contracted.

2. THE USER
Access to, browsing of, and use of www.iberialanguageacademy.com confers the status of User, which implies acceptance of all the Terms and Conditions set out herein, as well as any subsequent modifications, without prejudice to the application of the corresponding mandatory legal provisions.
The User assumes responsibility for proper use of www.iberialanguageacademy.com. This responsibility includes:
- Making appropriate use of the website to submit enquiries and contract services in a legally valid manner.
- Not making false or fraudulent bookings. Should Iberia Language Academy detect any such operation, it may be cancelled and the relevant authorities informed.
- Providing truthful and lawful data.
The User declares that they are over 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts through www.iberialanguageacademy.com.
3. CONTRACTING / BOOKING PROCESS
To make any purchase on www.iberialanguageacademy.com, the User must be of legal age.
Users duly registered on www.iberialanguageacademy.com must follow the online contracting procedure established by Iberia Language Academy.
The steps to contract services are as follows:
- Access the website and browse the available courses.
- Select the desired dates and course format.
- Complete the enrolment form step by step.
- Read and accept the Privacy and Data Protection Policy.
- Select the payment method and enter the required payment details.
- Read and accept the General Terms and Conditions of Contracting.
- Complete the contracting process.
- Receive official confirmation and additional details of the booking.
The User must complete and verify the information entered at each step. The data entered may be modified before payment; if modification is not possible, the User should contact Iberia Language Academy to report the issue.
Subsequently, the User will receive a receipt or confirmation of the transaction via the email address provided to Iberia Language Academy.
4. AVAILABILITY
All services displayed on www.iberialanguageacademy.com are subject to availability at the time the website is consulted. Availability will be kept constantly updated in order to reflect the most accurate information possible.
If difficulties arise when making a booking or if no dates are available, Iberia Language Academy undertakes to contact the User to reschedule the dates or refund the amount paid.
5. PRICES AND PAYMENT
The prices displayed on www.iberialanguageacademy.com are final.
Under no circumstances will Iberia Language Academy automatically add additional costs to the price of the contracted services, except for those expressly selected and voluntarily chosen by the User.
Prices may change at any time; however, any changes will not affect bookings or purchases already made by the User that have been confirmed.

The following payment methods are available:
- Credit or debit card
Payment may be made immediately via our bank’s secure SSL payment gateway. If a refund or cancellation is required, the amount will be refunded to the same payment card. Credit card payments are subject to verification and authorisation by the issuing bank. Iberia Language Academy shall not be liable for any delay or failure in delivery due to this reason. By clicking “Authorise Payment” or “Confirm Payment”, the User guarantees that the credit card used is their own or that they are the legitimate holder of the gift card or prepaid card used.
- Bank transfer
Payment may be made by cash deposit or bank transfer in favour of IBERIA LANGUAGE ACADEMY, S.L., to the bank account indicated, where applicable. When making the transfer, the customer’s name and order number must be stated.
Bookings made by bank transfer will be reserved for five (5) calendar days from confirmation of the reservation. Once payment is received, the booking will be processed; if payment is not received within this period, the reservation will be cancelled.
6. SPECIFIC CONTRACT CONDITIONS AND BASIC INFORMATION OF INTEREST
Definitions
From this point onwards, Iberia Language Academy will be referred to as “the School”. “The Student” is the person in whose name the booking is made.
This Agreement
This agreement becomes legally binding once the School has received full or partial payment for a course and/or accommodation from a Student. Spanish law shall apply to this agreement.
Course Payment
- The School does not charge an enrolment fee.
- Course books used in class are the property of the School and must remain at the School. Books for personal use may be purchased separately.
- A non-refundable €350 deposit is required for bookings made more than four (4) weeks before the course start date.
- The remaining balance of the course fee must be paid four (4) weeks before the course start date. The School reserves the right to cancel the Student’s reservation in the event of non-payment.
- Students who require the School to issue official documentation to support a student visa application must pay the full course fee in advance. Documents may be sent by email or courier to meet any specific requirement. Any fees related to sending these documents must be paid in advance by the Student.
- The Student is responsible for ensuring that payment is received in full by the School, without the School having to pay any bank charges.
- Fees for the DELE exam preparation course do not include the DELE exam registration fee.
- Refunds will be made using the same payment method used by the Student to book the course.
- Promotional codes cannot be combined and may only be used once.
Class Dates and Public Holidays
- The School is closed on local and national public holidays and these days will not be recovered.
- Public holidays in Barcelona are: Good Friday, Easter Monday, 1 May, 5 June, 24 June, 15 August, 11 September, 12 October, 1 November, 6 December, 8 December.
- An allowance for one (1) public holiday per month of the course is included in the total price of the Student’s booking.
- Classes start in the second week of January and finish the week before Christmas. Our coordination team will provide the exact dates when you enrol.
Course Modifications
- Only students enrolled in long-term courses may take breaks during their course as part of their package. Long-term courses are courses lasting nine (9) months or longer.
- If the Student takes a break, it must be for a minimum of one (1) full week from Monday to Friday. The School cannot guarantee availability in the same group upon the Student’s return.
- Holidays must be communicated by email to the coordination team at least seven (7) days in advance. Otherwise, the time will not be considered part of the holiday entitlement and will be deducted from the course credit.
- Students may not defer their course once it has started. Course fees will not be refunded during periods of deferral. Booking dates may not be modified once the course has started.
- All Students wishing to make changes to their course must notify the School in writing by email at least ten (10) days before the course start date.
- Course reservations are assigned on an individual basis and therefore may not be reassigned or transferred to another Student.
- Students who have been issued with the School’s official documents for the purpose of applying for a visa may not change the end date of their course once it has started.
- Group classes may not be converted into private lessons.
- In the event of closure of the School due to force majeure, in-person classes will be replaced by online classes, maintaining the same content and following the same academic programme. No refunds will be processed.
Course Cancellations
- All Students who wish to cancel their course must notify the School in writing by email. Notifications not received by this method will not be accepted.
- Students who cancel their course 30 days or more before the course start date will lose their non-refundable deposit (€350).
- Students who cancel their course less than 30 days before the course start date will lose their deposit and will be charged 50% of the total course price.
- These cancellation conditions apply without prejudice to the 14-day right of withdrawal established under Spanish law.
- Once a course has started, refunds will not normally be granted, except where legally required or in cases of force majeure.
- Students who have been issued with the School’s official documents for the purpose of applying for a Type D student visa may not cancel their course unless a copy of the official visa refusal document is provided to the School by email. Tourist visa (Type C) refusal will not be accepted.
- Upon provision of an appropriate visa refusal letter, the Student will receive a refund minus the non-refundable €350 deposit.
- If the Student successfully obtains their student visa but must cancel for personal reasons, they must cancel the visa by contacting the Spanish embassy or consulate that issued it. Once the visa has been cancelled, the Student must send the cancellation notice to the School by email in order to receive a refund minus the non-refundable €350 deposit.
- Students who do not provide an official visa refusal document will be charged the full course price.
- Where a refund is issued, any bank charges related to transfers and exchange rate fluctuations will be deducted from the refundable amount due.
Cancellation by the School
If the School cancels a course for any reason attributable to the School, the Student will be entitled to a full refund of all amounts paid, including the deposit, with no deductions.
Force Majeure
Force majeure circumstances include, but are not limited to:
- Serious illness duly documented
- Visa refusal for reasons beyond the Student’s control
- Government restrictions or forced closure of the School
In such cases:
- If attributable to the Student, a refund will be issued, deducting, where applicable, the proportional value of services already provided.
- If attributable to the School, a full refund of the amounts paid will be issued.
Refunds will be processed within a maximum period of thirty (30) calendar days from acceptance of the cancellation.
Accommodation
- The minimum accommodation booking period is four (4) weeks.
- Students must notify the School of their accommodation needs at least four (4) weeks prior to arrival.
- If accommodation is requested less than four (4) weeks before the course start date, the School cannot guarantee availability.
- Accommodation fees must be paid prior to confirmation of accommodation, at least four (4) weeks before the course start date or arrival. The School will not arrange accommodation until full payment has been received.
- The School cannot guarantee the location, type of apartment, or included amenities.
- In Barcelona, and in Europe generally, buildings are older and smaller than students may be accustomed to in their home countries. Accommodation is provided in accordance with standards commonly expected in Spain. The School cannot change accommodation based on personal tastes or preferences.
- Students must pay a refundable security deposit of €200 directly to the accommodation host upon arrival. This deposit will be refunded upon departure, provided that no damage has occurred to the property.
- If damage occurs to the property, this will be considered a dispute between the Student and the host.
- The €200 security deposit may be paid in cash or electronically, at the host’s discretion.
- If a Student cancels accommodation more than four (4) weeks prior to arrival, they will be entitled to a full refund of accommodation fees.
- If a Student cancels accommodation within four (4) weeks prior to arrival, they will forfeit 50% of the accommodation fees to cover hosting costs.
- If a Student cancels accommodation within the two (2) weeks prior to arrival, they will forfeit 100% of the accommodation fees to cover hosting costs.
- If a Student arrives late due to illness, visa delays, accidents, or similar reasons, they will not be entitled to unused accommodation days. For example, if a Student arrives seven (7) days late, those days cannot be recovered and no refund will be issued for them.
- If a Student arrives after 10:00 p.m., the host may charge a late arrival fee.
- The host is not responsible for the loss or theft of personal belongings. Students are advised to obtain appropriate travel insurance for their personal items.
- Once the Student has arrived, if they decide for any reason not to remain in the assigned accommodation, no refund will be issued. The security deposit will be refunded provided there is no damage.
- The School reserves the right to remove a Student from the accommodation due to unacceptable behaviour affecting the host or other guests. In such cases, no accommodation fees will be refunded, and the School is not obliged to find alternative accommodation.
Certificates
- The School offers an attendance certificate stating the course dates, total number of study hours, and the final level achieved by the Student. This certificate is not equivalent to an official DELE certificate.
- A fee of €15 is charged for issuing attendance certificates, as the School does not charge an enrolment fee.
- To receive the School certificate, the Student’s attendance must be at least 80%.
- Certificates are prepared only upon request.
- Students must request and pay for the certificate no later than the beginning of the final week of the course. Certificates may be collected from the School reception on the last day of the course.
- Requests received during the final days of the course will be processed during the following week.
- If a Student requests a certificate by post, an additional €15 fee will apply.
General
- The School expects appropriate behaviour within its premises. Students are expected to respect the academy, its staff, and other students.
- The School reserves the right to remove a Student from the course and the academy as a result of unacceptable behaviour affecting staff or other students. In such cases, no course fees will be refunded.
- Students must make a confidential declaration regarding any medical condition (physical or mental) that may affect their course performance. This information is necessary to allow the School to make appropriate adjustments to ensure a positive learning experience.
- The School is not responsible for the loss or theft of personal belongings.
- The School reserves the right to update and modify its Terms and Conditions at any time.
- By signing the enrolment form or paying the course fees, the Student accepts all the terms and conditions set out above.
7. TECHNICAL MEANS FOR CORRECTING ERRORS
If the User detects that an error has occurred when entering the data necessary to process a purchase request on www.iberialanguageacademy.com, they may correct it by contacting Iberia Language Academy through the available customer service contact channels. Additionally, such information may be modified by the User directly within their personal account or user area.
Likewise, the User is referred to consult the Legal Notice and the Terms and Conditions of Use for further information on how to exercise the Right of Rectification, in accordance with the provisions of Organic Law 3/2018 of 5 December on the Protection of Personal Data and the Guarantee of Digital Rights.
8. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
In accordance with Articles 68 and 102 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 of 16 November, approving the consolidated text of the General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users, the User has the right to withdraw from the contract within a minimum period of fourteen (14) calendar days, without the need to provide justification.
To exercise this right, the User must notify Iberia Language Academy of their decision. This may be done, where applicable, through the contact options available on www.iberialanguageacademy.com or via the following means:

Regardless of the method chosen, the User must clearly and unequivocally express their intention to withdraw from the contractual relationship. The User may use the withdrawal form made available by Iberia Language Academy, although its use is not mandatory.
In the event of withdrawal, Iberia Language Academy will reimburse the User for all payments received, including delivery costs, using the same payment method used by the User, except for any additional costs resulting from the User’s choice of a delivery method other than the least expensive standard option offered bywww.iberialanguageacademy.com. Reimbursement will be made without undue delay and, in any case, no later than fourteen (14) calendar days from the date on which Iberia Language Academy is informed of the decision to withdraw.
The User acknowledges being aware of the exceptions to the right of withdrawal as set out in Article 103 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, in particular the following:
- The provision of services once the service has been fully performed, when performance has begun with the prior express consent of the consumer and user and with their acknowledgment that they are aware that, once the contract has been fully performed by the trader, they will have lost their right of withdrawal.
- The supply of sealed audio or video recordings or sealed computer software that has been unsealed by the consumer and user after delivery.
- The supply of accommodation services for purposes other than housing, transport of goods, vehicle rental, catering, or services related to leisure activities, where the contracts provide for a specific date or period of performance.
- The supply of digital content not supplied on a tangible medium when performance has begun with the prior express consent of the consumer and user and with their acknowledgment that they thereby lose their right of withdrawal.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Unless otherwise required by law, Iberia Language Academy shall not accept liability for the following losses, regardless of their origin:
- Any loss not attributable to any breach on its part.
- Business losses.
- Indirect losses that were not reasonably foreseeable by both parties at the time the contract was concluded.
Likewise, Iberia Language Academy limits its liability to the following cases:
Iberia Language Academy applies all reasonable measures to ensure an accurate representation of the product on www.iberialanguageacademy.com; however, it shall not be held responsible for minor differences or inaccuracies that may arise due to screen resolution issues or browser-related problems.
Iberia Language Academy will act with the utmost diligence in making the purchased product available to the company responsible for transportation. However, it shall not be liable for damages arising from transport malfunctions, including strikes, roadblocks, or other circumstances inherent to the sector that result in delays, losses, or theft.
Technical failures caused by fortuitous events or other circumstances that prevent the normal functioning of the service via the internet, or lack of availability ofwww.iberialanguageacademy.com due to maintenance or other reasons preventing access to the service. Iberia Language Academy will make every effort to complete the purchasing process but shall not be liable for causes beyond its control, force majeure, or unforeseeable events.
Iberia Language Academy shall not be responsible for misuse and/or wear of products by the User, nor for incorrect returns made by the User. In general, Iberia Language Academy shall not be liable for failure or delay in the performance of any obligations where such failure or delay is due to events beyond its reasonable control, including force majeure.
10. ANNULMENT
If any of the provisions of these Terms are declared null and void by a final decision issued by a competent authority, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect and shall not be affected by such declaration of nullity.
11. DATA PROTECTION
The personal data provided by the User to Iberia Language Academy in the course of a transaction on www.iberialanguageacademy.com will be processed in accordance with the provisions set out in the Privacy Policy, General Terms and Conditions, and Legal Notice. By accessing, browsing, and/or using www.iberialanguageacademy.com, the User consents to the processing of such information and declares that all data provided is truthful.
Image and Voice
The Student’s image and voice constitute personal data.
The School will not use photographs, audio recordings, or videos for promotional, advertising, or commercial purposes without the Student’s express, written consent.
Such consent:
- Will be requested separately
- Will require an explicit signature
- Will not be included as a general clause on the website
12. APPLICABLE LAW
Access to, browsing of, and/or use of www.iberialanguageacademy.com, as well as contracts for the provision of services through the website, shall be governed by Spanish law.
Any dispute, issue, or disagreement arising from or related to access, browsing, and/or use of the website, the interpretation and execution of these Terms, or the contracts entered into between the User and Iberia Language Academy, shall be submitted to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Spanish courts and tribunals.
13. COMPLAINTS AND CLAIMS
The User may submit complaints, claims, or any comments they wish to make to Iberia Language Academy using the contact details provided at the beginning of these General Terms and Conditions.
In addition, Iberia Language Academy provides complaint and refund forms for any dissatisfaction the User may have.
14. OUT-OF-COURT DISPUTE RESOLUTION SYSTEM
Iberia Language Academy provides the User with an Out-of-Court Dispute Resolution procedure, allowing the User to submit a complaint by completing an electronic form and attaching the relevant documentation.
