We combine all the fun of a summer camp with structured learning to help your child improve their Spanish. Each morning starts with a Spanish class led by a qualified native teacher, in small groups grouped by age and level, using material designed specifically for young learners. The rest of the morning is crafts, games, science, sports and a weekly Barcelona adventure, all themed and tied back to the language content that we cover that week. So your child gets the dedicated study time that builds genuine confidence, wrapped inside a camp they'll be excited to come back to every day.

What a morning at Iberia Language Academy looks like
Four hours, structured around how kids actually learn. Spanish in the morning when minds are fresh, then activities and projects that put that Spanish to use.
A short break at 11:30. Pickup at 13:30. Fridays are excursion days — usually the morning is spent on the outing, with a short consolidation back at school.

Questions parents ask us
My child doesn't speak any Spanish — is that a problem?
Not at all. Our A1 level starts from zero, and we have absolute beginners every summer. Our teachers are trained in immersive teaching with young learners — kids pick it up faster than you'd think. If you're unsure of your child's level, we'll do a short friendly chat or written test before the course to place them properly.
How are the groups split?
Two ways: by age (Kids 7–10, Tweens 11–14, Teens 15–17) and by level (A1, A2, plus B1 for teens). So a 13-year-old A1 beginner is grouped with other tweens, not with seven-year-olds. We confirm exact groupings once the cohort is finalised about two weeks before the course starts.
Can I book just one week?
Yes — you can book from a single week. We recommend at least two, though: each block of weeks builds on the previous, so two weeks lets your child complete a coherent block instead of arriving mid-topic. Most families book between 2 and 4 weeks, but a single week works well as a taster. You can choose any consecutive weeks between 29 June and 21 August.
What language do the teachers speak?
Spanish is the language of class — immersion is how kids actually learn. Our team also speaks English and Catalan, so first-day nerves, parent questions, and any issues can be handled in your language. The kids will be surrounded by Spanish in class; you can talk to us in whatever you prefer.
What does my child need to bring?
Water bottle, snack (merienda) for the 11:30 break, sun cream, comfortable clothes and trainers (especially on Friday excursion days). All learning materials, coursebooks and craft supplies are provided.
What about the Friday excursions — are they safe and supervised?
Yes. Excursions are always led by Iberia Language Academy teachers with a low staff-to-student ratio, and venues are selected for safety and accessibility (many of our excursion venues, like CosmoCaixa, are free for under-16s and well set up for school groups). Trips are confirmed at least one week in advance and parents always know where the group is.
What are the drop-off and pickup logistics?
Drop-off from 09:15–09:30, pickup at 13:30 sharp at our reception on Carrer d'Aragó 405 (entresuelo 1º). On Friday excursion days, pickup is sometimes at the venue — we'll confirm the week before.
Is there a sibling discount?
Yes — 15% off the second (and any additional) child's place. Multi-week families also get 10% off when booking 4+ weeks. Discounts stack: a family booking two children for four weeks gets both.
