Doing the intensive Spanish course will give you the best results in a short amount of time. You’ll study 4 hours per day at the school, then have every afternoon to put all your new learning into practice. The classes are 4 x 55 min classes, with a short break to keep you focussed.

Level A1.1 (40 hours)

You can understand and use basic expressions for everyday needs. You can introduce yourself, give simple personal information, recognise essential classroom vocabulary, and communicate at a very basic level with help.

You can understand and use simple phrases to talk about daily routines, likes, and your immediate surroundings. You can describe your family, home, and everyday activities, ask and answer simple questions in common situations, and communicate in short exchanges with support.

You can use simple structures to talk about past experiences, future plans, and personal preferences. You can handle routine situations in shops, restaurants, and while travelling, describe familiar people and places, and take part in straightforward conversations with support.

You can use a wider range of expressions to talk about past events, habits, and comparisons. You can express feelings, give simple advice, understand the main points of familiar conversations, and communicate more confidently, with some support.

You can communicate more confidently and consistently in familiar situations, link ideas more clearly, and maintain simple conversations with less support. You can talk about past experiences in more detail, express opinions with basic reasons, and interact more spontaneously, preparing you for B1 level.

You can talk about familiar topics such as work, studies, and personal experiences, describe past events and future plans, and express simple opinions with basic reasons. You can follow the main points of clear speech and handle everyday interactions with some independence.

No. At Iberia Language Academy we have an in-house library, which means that all the books you need are provided during the class, as well as worksheets and study material to take home.

If you would like to take a course book home to study, you can either purchase a digital version for approximately 25€, or a physical one for 30€.

Each module has a total duration of 40 contact hours (A1–B1), 60 hours (B2), and 80 hours (C1).

We start new courses Any Monday of the year.

If you find that the level of the group is too hard for you, don't worry! Our instructors are experienced in accommodating different levels of learners. They will provide additional support, explanations, and resources to help you catch up and progress at your own pace. If you prefer you can also move down a level.

If you feel that the level is too easy for you, you can discuss with your instructor to explore options for moving up to a more challenging group.

We use a communicative approach, focused on learning Spanish through real-life communication from day one.

Classes are mainly conducted in Spanish and supported by visual grammar techniques, clear structure, and level-based progression to ensure steady, practical progress.

Your classmates may come from different backgrounds, countries, and age groups, creating a diverse learning environment. Interacting with your classmates will provide you with opportunities to practise your Spanish skills and learn from each other's experiences.

The pace at which you can move up a level will depend on your individual progress and the course structure. Our instructors will assess your language skills regularly and provide feedback on your progress.

Generally, if you are a beginner and study 20 hours/week, you will move up a level every 4-6 weeks. Once you achieve B2 level, it can take longer to achieve C1 (24 weeks approximately), then another 24 weeks to achieve C2.

It's important to remember that language learning is a gradual process, and it's essential to have a solid foundation before moving on to more advanced levels.

Yes. There are two, and they attest different things.

Certificate of attendance
Records the hours you attended, including the module and dates. It says nothing about your level or results. You can download it from the portal at any time, during or after the course, regardless of your attendance or marks.

Certificate of achievement
Confirms that you completed a module and reached its level. You must:

attend at least 80% of the module's total hours
complete the final exam
obtain at least 60/100

The mark combines your exam results in grammar and vocabulary, reading, listening, writing and speaking with your classwork. Modules are 40 hours up to B1, 60 hours at B2 and 80 hours at C1.

The 80% is calculated against the module's total hours, not the classes you were enrolled for. So if you join a module halfway through, you can receive its certificate of attendance, but not its certificate of achievement because there are not enough remaining hours to reach 80%. If you start the next module from the beginning, complete it and pass the exam, you can receive its certificate of achievement.

Digital certificates are free. A printed and stamped copy costs €15. Certificates of achievement are issued within nine working days of the final exam.

Neither certificate is a DELE certificate. The DELE is an official Instituto Cervantes qualification obtained by taking the separate DELE examination.

Each class combines listening and reading comprehension, speaking practice, and interaction in pairs or small groups, together with guided work led by the teacher.

Classes use texts, audio, video, and communicative activities adapted to the level of the group. The teacher guides the lesson, provides selective correction, and helps students improve accuracy.
